I dress seasonally but no costume. Cat gets a costume though. And I'm totally drinking while I hand out candy and wish I had people who would come drink with me.

I make a huge batch of chili and serve it to neighbors along with a campfire in the driveway as we hand out candy. As trick or treating ends, everyone comes over and we finish the fire.

We usually have more beers than we have trick or treaters.

That’s actually nice, reminds me of something we used to do during new year in Switzerland, setting a standing log on fire and roasting sausages for the neighbors.

One of the perks of living where I live is no trick-or-treaters.

I promised Yoda and Vader when we got them that I would not embarrass them by dressing them up.

Cat with bat wings keeps cat from getting very far when it inevitably escapes. But with no trick or treaters you solved that the easy way.

No children in your building? In my old building it was great, every single apartment was either a child-less couple or old jewish people, I loved it. Now there are children everywhere.

They are 2 1/2 now. They sleep a lot.

And the kids in this building are mostly in strollers. Otherwise, I think parents realize that trick-or-treating by elevator is a non-starter.
